Rudy's In!

After seeing this adorable picture, I think Rudy (my Chihuahua) has to be the ring bearer. Not even the cutest of children could compete with this....

It's All About The Dress

So...after months of holding out, I've finally started on the exciting journey of choosing a wedding dress.

My first visit was to a gorgeous vintage inspired boutique, The White Closet, in West Didsbury. I'd head there just to gawp through the window, by far the most beautiful shop I've ever been to, and a very clever use of space. They stock the amazing Claire Pettibone, my main reason for booking an appointment there, and David Fielden whose dresses are to die for. I wanted every single one. Fact.

The windows are beautiful, and I was treated like a Princess, which I found myself surprisingly loving!
I wish every day could be spent there, being complimented more than I have in my lifetime and walking around in dresses that I would sell my left kidney for.

Whether I've found 'The One', who knows, but I hope every girl gets to experience what I experienced on Saturday. I'm still on Cloud 9.

Where To Sit?

For anyone who's never planned a party before, do not under estimate how difficult it is deciding where people should sit. And you think once you've decided on what table they should sit on that would be it, right? Well no, not really, you need to make sure they're sat next to someone they don't despise. Easier said then done.
Anyhow, I'm far from planning table arrangements (haven't even finalised guest list yet!) but I'm always intrigued in the different ways people choose to present their table plan. All the Wedding Venues nowadays offer you an easel to present your board on, but I'm thinking about going for something a bit different.
Check out these fab 4 ideas, which is your favourite? I've got a lot of time for the vintage frames....

A Hair Do For Your I Do

I've been completely obsessed with hair recently, I think it's because I'm slowly getting my hair back to a natural colour, but I've been thinking a lot about how to wear your hair for your big day.
There seems to be 2 schools of thought, the first believes it's your special day, a day you'll never have again and therefore you should go all out, get your make up done and have your hair put up like you've never done before - you're a princess for the day after all aren't you?!
The other camp seems to go by the rule of not going too far out of what you wear/look like on a day to day basis, i.e. why wear your hair off you face if you've never done in the past?

With this debate in mind, I've found some beautiful hair styles which would look amazing on your wedding day, they are special enough to feel like you're doing something different, but not too styled so you look like a different person!

Enjoy,

Veil, Or No Veil?

Tricky question. I always just thought they'd ruin your hair do, but I stumbled across this US website called Twigs & Honey who do THE most beautiful veils, headbands and garters. I'm pretty much in love with everything in their shop, but managed to pick out a few favourites.
They aren't too expensive either, around $100 - $200, it's definitely worth looking at the veils - they are to die for. I'm definitely coming around to the idea of a veil, that's for sure.
